FAQ: What Fleet set up should i use?

Many people ask what they should put on their harriers, or talons for example. The truth is, there really is no right answer to this, Because the right answer is to counter what you are fighting, and this comes in many shapes, colors and sizes [Like many other things! ]

Most people use the following

Beam Builds with energy shields (Spectral Shielding)
Torpedo builds with energy shields (Spectral Shielding)
Beam Builds with explosive shields (Shockwave Shielding)
Torpedo builds with explosive shields (Shockwave Shielding)

What Beams should i use?
Pulse beams for range, but at a cost of 40 more mass per weapon over beam
Beams for damage.
Polaron is not effective as a primary weapon, but can use as support (if applied with ion modulator Level 3+)

So you generally want to use these builds, or something similar, as they are the counters
and the builds commonly being used.

In general, Use the above and you will be good. However, Rails are not really suited for fleet combat, they just are not performing correctly, So try to avoid them unless you know exactly how to use them.

Side notes:
Pro's are the moment are using Hybrid builds, Like mix of beams, and explosive for example.
There is lots of positive merits to this, but the question is if they out way the loss of defense.

All the game terms should be defined in the FAQ... instead of just BEAM, use the correct game label for the weapon. Instead of energy shields, use the proper name, etc.

Oh, and levels for those weapons and shields would be nice to know as well

I posted it this way to make it easy on people, so they dont have to dig around and look for names.

It makes it harder, because you are using 'game slang' without definitions. The people who will benefit from this FAQ will the new players, who most likely not know what a BEAM is, etc.
