Technologies to Research
Best Technologies in game (Focus on getting these)


Armor
Iridium 1

Zynthium 1
Zynthium 2


Note: Zynthium is the best shield in game for mass to hp ratio. I extremely recommend rushing to this armor technology, it is vital to success in heavy combat.

Shielding

Shock wave 4
Reflector 4
Spectral 4


Note: Shock wave 4 is the best shield in game for mass to hp ratio. you will want all shielding eventually, but if you rush mid game to Shock wave 4  you will have the best shielding type on. I know it does not seem this way, but you have to take into consideration 3 HP types. Shock wave 4 Places its effective hp vs all types at 3,387.7. It is also the most common damage type used in game.  On top of this, its effective hp is considerably higher then other shielding types (reflector next at 2,622.0, And Spectre at 1,571.3 as the lowest). This means, that the shockwave effective hp is nearly double of that of the other shielding types of its level. Bare in mind, this is only effective for a short time as spectre 5 will become accessible after 5-7 levels depending on the player. At this point, Spectre will offer the best protection at 5,426.4 until a player has reached shockwave 5 @ 11,696.4 Effective hp (again nearly double) this means the most preferred shield in end game, Is shockwave 5, however more players are in the area of using 4.

Note: broadswords are excellent mid game weapons, a simple truth which many are not aware of, the belief that railguns are not good base defense weapons, however the truth is far from this, railguns are extremely important, and if you do not have them, you will find exposed and destroyed by rail-gun sniper destroyers. I cannot express this enough, or the importance of destroyer technology, they are the ultimate weapon when it comes to base hitting.

Note: these upgrades are extremely important, for counter builds. unlike other things like weapons, , armor etc, you take these because of the effectiveness in builds and tactics. Bare in mind, however these are tuned for Mass/Effective ratio.
